Finally an ok nights sleep! Cold start though, in a hurry to breakfast and out into the rain ☔️
Drive around the Albert Hall museum – the oldest museum in Rajasthan named after Kind Edward VII (Albert Edward) for his visit in 1886
See many of the pink cities 7 gates before going back in
Stop to see the Hawa Mahal – very fancy building on the outside, nothing in the inside tho

3 entrances to get through to city palace
City palace has photo exhibitions, armoury, courtyards etc from the beginnings of jaipur through to independence in 1947 from Britain

Mayhem in the courtyard where they are setting up a massive wedding, hundreds of flowers and columns and giant candles and food stands and bars and speakers and decorations- must cost a fortune!
Enjoy a cheeky cappuccino on our way out – first proper not instant coffee in India!
Off to the Observatory to see the large structures to measure the celestial objects, star signs, sun, etc

Worth a visit even though sun was not shining
To amber fort up the hill passing elephants and camels on the roads

Up the many steps past the crocodile infested lake up to the palace (502 rupee per person) a lot of hawkers you just have to ignore
Palace is a maze of rooms you can get easily lost around exploring
See the sheesh Mahal – mirror palace

Late lunch in Khan restaurant – a local Muslim spot who are “the master of non veg” … let’s see shall we …

Good flavours to the sauces, chicken was a tad chewy but good, the mutton was very fatty and boney so took some eating
Back to the hotel for a swim in the pool …
Too cold, let’s go to the pub – Cheers! The dive pub in basement- does what it says on the tin, beer, a dive, just what we wanted! Only got run over a few times on the walk over
Down to the craft beer bar Jaipour Beer & More @ The Forresta, chatting to Ellie a friendly local, gave us a free tuktuk ride over the road as 6 lanes of mental traffic was too much for us after 2 pints of 8% beer
We enjoyed a taster board of the draught beers, a feta pizza, and some Himalayan cider

To the nightclub Sombre next door – it’s run out of beers! Cheeky cocktail and then it closes at 11:30 – booo
Uber is failing us to get home, so we grab a cheeky tuktuk ride back
