Day 85 – Waving at the Dolphins

Wake up after a pretty terrible night’s sleep – need to change room

Late wake up means we just have to get two meals today… win? ????

Wonder along the main road, where there seems to be a bit more life, in search of a cappuccino

We spot Coffee House Candolim just down the road so take a break from the heat with a cuppa and share a pancake

Banana and honey crepe

Off to find something more filling – we go further towards Candolim Beach where Google supposes there’s more life

We stop at South Resto Bar and take a suggested dish for the both of us

Chicken Malabar curry and garlic naan

Perfect amount of food

Out and continue to where we meet Candolim Beach Road that takes us all the way to the shore

The beach is busy and hot; we stroll around looking for some water activities but have no luck at a reasonable price

Back on the road and we find a tourist information centre (or what we think is one anyways)

We book a trip for now and one for tomorrow

Out to grab a taxi to the tour’s pick up point – Dolphin Point

We get in a boat and wait for it to fill up with other tourists

Set off round the peninsula and see Aguada Fort, which is now a prison, as well as the old and the new Light House Aguada

Time to peel our eyes

We spot some dolphins – a successful trip for sure!

Back to land and we get a taxi back to Candolim Beach to catch the sunset

Stroll along the beach southward and find a place to sit and enjoy

At Ryan’s Shack with two large kingfishers

Time to grab some food – we walk back towards our beach area to a place called Coastal Crave

Steak, glorious steak – we have to indulge

“Chateaubriand” steak and surf’n’turf

Try some of the sauvignon blanc too

After, we head back as we’ve got an early start tomorrow!
