Wake up pretty late, post-noon, and lounge about working out what we want to do down under
We’ve slept for over 13 hours but hopefully this helps get us onto the new timezone ????????
Organise some dry laundry, have some brekky – crumpets, strawberry yoghurt and pain au raisin – and get ready to head out
Grab the T8 to Museum – we want to make sure our Xmas Day plans are definitely sorted
They are ???? we walk North up Elizabeth St taking in the sounds and sights Sydney has to offer
Spy a little happy hour and, in the spirit of the holidays, pop in for a cheeky pint at Verandah Bar

Continue our walk and make it to Circular Quay – the Harbour Bridge is in view!

And the Opera House!
Naturally snap a few tourist shots and go nearer the Opera House

We even go in – rather fancy inside
Back out, we go to the Lower Concourse of the tourist area and pop into Opera Bar – great views of both landmarks and you can grab a drink!

Two large sauvignon blanc
A Brazilian lady sat next to us and we exchanged some tales of long haul to get here
Off to get some food – we grab the train to Barangaroo
Stroll up and down the quay until we find Henley’s Bar & Kitchen
Two pints and two pizzas – not cheap but certainly look the part ????

We were told by the Meriton Suites staff that there was to be the last firework show of the year in Cockle Wharf/Darling Harbour so we wonder down

Worth the visit for sure – highly recommend just below the “Cockle Bay Wharf” sign two floors up
Out of there and on search for a little bar – we wonder round and get a recommendation for a grudge/rock bar near Hyde Park: Ramblin Rascals

They have a live band, with a saxophonist, doing rocky pop
Time for home – we wonder towards the nearest station
Our platform is cut off as there’s currently work on today
Grab the next train to Central and jump on our train to get us back to Mascot
Little walk to our place and then quickly to bed
P.S. Merry Christmas eve eve all ????
