Day 113 – Seal or no Seal

Checkout and drive down to Batehaven for a coffee and snack at Crumbs Cafe

To Bermagui – park up next to the beach

Wonder down the town to grab a sarnie from Bazzas Hot Breads

Eat them on the beach

Off to the blue pool – see seals! ????

Very rocky and waves splashing but pretty

To fisherman’s wharf – see whole flocks of cormorants and a ginormous stingray swimming about

Off to camel rock – it does look a little like a camel

We go around bouldering on the coast to get to the Horse head – see some majestic cormorants

Walk along pebbly beach and find we are surrounded by cliffs – so a choice, scale the cliff or navigate the dangerous rocks and incoming tide back around …

Bouldering up the cliff edge it is – do not attempt this, this is for seasoned professionals (idiots) like ourselves only ????

Head back past Wallaga Lake on the way to narooma – so many black swans! And a white stork, it’s so idyllic we have to come back

Lovely views from our motel once we finally checkin – it seems Agoda passes no info on to the motels so they have no way to contact you to tell you how to check in!

Freshened up, we head out to Seal Rocks for more seal spotting – down by the bay we spot an eagle ray and a pelican – already a good start here

He head up over to the seal rocks passing Australia Rock – a rock that looks a little bit like Australia?

Finally to Seal Rocks we see so many lovely seals basking on the rocks and some pups too! One or two were swimming too – and a few pigeons to annoy them

We head off through a bit of off road woodland back to town, along the bay spotting some baby rays on the water

Up to Narooma Hotel for a beer and wine (very reasonably priced too!)

Million dollar views is their slogan

It’s getting late so we stay for some food – Chicken schnitzel and a pepperoni pizza – both lovingly burnt but still good

A couple cheeky glasses of nice cheap wine and the place closes by half 9!

We stroll up the town and pass a place still open, Lynch’s Hotel – looks like a good solid old man pub/sports bar in one

We grab more beers, play some pool, get nattering with locals and someone from Manchester

Last orders are more reasonably timed after midnight sometime
