Wake up with the usual coffee and porridge
Have to do a little admin as well as adding an extra couple nights to our stay here as our boat trip around the Whitsundays will now be on Monday
Get ready and grab the local bus into town ($4.80 each for the day) to catch the Whitsunday Saturday Matkets
Upon arriving, it seems very much not on today… anyhoo, we meader down the Airlie Bay Beach

Dave is enjoying the seaside and playfully interrupting some Godwits resting
Getting hungry, we head inland and hear lots of racket with some of the other black and white feathered locals

The main high street is buzzing with tourists outlets and restaurants
We settle on a quieter, little venue called Sisters Corner Cafe as it dishes up some delish meals

One chicken pad Thai and one chicken chilli and basil with rice – very yummy and fiery lunch
To walk off lunch, we venture for the several boardwalks on the coastline

Realise this was probably a stupid idea with the weather being so stonking hot so we dash to grab a bus back to town
Time to cool down in the Airlie Beach Lagoon

It rains a couple times while we’re in and then we decide to get out and head back to base
Got a bit more admin to do while we chill with the telly and then back out to town for the evening
We get settled at Magnums with a drink or two as they have a live band

Time for some noms – we spotted a place nearby that we just couldn’t refuse, as well as also having live music
Beaches Bar & Grill sorts Davesy a rump as well as a t-bone steak, both including a drink, for just $25 each ????

Live music is jaunty and then a hen party arrives and it becomes a karaoke – we even get handed the mic for a couple songs!
We play some pool too

To mix it up, we go back to Magnums to see their live music again and it’s stopped – however, there is something going on… very bizarre “best legs” competition
We spectate and then call it a night with a little Macca’s
Grab a cab and then time for bed
