Up and at the “best bakery” in split for breakfast – it wasn’t, but it did us just fine

Walk up to Marjan Park to Telegrin Peak – a walk and a half but worth it!

We stroll down to a local beach, Kupalište Bene, though via an off-beaten track!

The beach was a pleasant but nothing really about and no where to eat!

We hit a bus ride to a beach around the peninsula, Kashjuni Beach – you buy ticket on an app and scan the QR code – but if you are useless the impatient bus driver just tells you to get on and hey-presto, a free bus ride

Chill by the sea after sharing a chicken tortilla for some food

We swim with the fishes – sea rather cold but refreshing after such a long walk (10k steps before lunch) – bit of a stoney beach tho! And the odd urchin in the water

Walkies round to other beaches on the way back to the centre, on the south side – loads of pretty spots – and a load of flying fish being chased and jumping out the water

Head back to freshen up after our salty dip

Grab a slice of pizza each, one pepperoni and one with shrimp – the latter warmer and a bit fresher

Off to investigate a place we walked back from the beach via as there’s a beer/Oktoberfest event happening at the moment: Beer Dir

Very chill and has a selection of places offering different types of beer

We share some chips from the only food vendor, Misto Street Food – nice but a little sad as they’re passing free samples to locals around us 🙁

Nice to have a pew and gossip amongst ourselves in-between a fussball tournament or two: 2-2 and a fair match
