A pretty good sleep was had on mattresses that weren’t as hard as rocks
Down for breakfast with a pretty sizeable buffet – but no passion fruits for Daisy, sadly
Off out, we get a Grab taxi to Bà Nà Hills – 300k (£10) for the 40 min journey up there so a little steep but still cheaper than any of the tours we have found
It takes about 20 minutes to find the cable car station – absolute maze – but we are successful and get one having it to ourselves

The whole place and scenery surrounding are very beautiful and the ride takes about 20 minutes itself; we’re on the longest one of about four or five
We land in the hills and find ourselves about Medieval Fair – a German-style area – where we hunt for some noms
Rather than going for any of the set price buffet restaurants that are all over the shop here, we settle for some chicken kebab wraps as well as a small stein of “EU” beer each

The Beer Plaza venue is at the centre and is a jazzy half barrel structure and has the tables with benches outside so sit there with our bits, out of the sun, and then music happens
Next, we try and get on exploring the park and we find one of the rides is loading up with some room to spare so go for it (most of the rides are included in the price, like this one)
We then make it to Spiritual Land which is a collection of pagodas and good views

After tackling the entire area, we get back to Medieval Fair and stroll around through to the main area – which even has a fake cathedral and a Universal World-like globe – before finding Lunar Castle
It’s very picturesque and has a couple more rides you can do for free

We find a simulator 4D cinema and go for that ride which flies you around different capital cities
After this, we go to each of the three levels the castle has and find a train that will take us back to the heart of the park
We get our bearings and then head to Fantasy Land; the main rollercoaster is under maintenance, and costs extra anyways, but we go on the bumper cars
Next, we pop into the Jurassic area – a bunch of dinosaurs and ice age statues

We go down another couple floors and find a spinny-droppy ride and go on that too
Back up out of Fantasy Park and are met with a quite literal hailing storm – what the hell!!
The rain lets off a little and we carry on exploring to get to another cable car that takes us to another part of the park
The main attraction here is the Golden Bridge – it’s a bridge being held up with Buddha’s hands

It’s very packed but still very scenic
We wander around to find a couple themed gardens and then the end of this area has a giant Buddha

There are some steps by it and it takes you to Linh Ung Pagoda which again is very beautiful and even has some monks here
We go back and there’s a funicular that you can ride somewhere but it’s closed today so we get the cable car back to the main area
Time for a sugar hit – we get an ice cream to give us a boost

Now that we’ve covered just about everywhere, we try and find our way out of Ba Na Hills
That proves a bit more tricky than we anticipated: all the cable cars have stopped!
We find another place we’d not come across before as well as noticing the colours from the sunset so a happy accident

In a hunt, we try a couple of the stations as we’re guided by the staff that they’ll be turned on shortly and it becomes a sort of Goose chase!
Eventually, we find a nice lady who has grouped a couple others in our situation and we go together to eventually find a cable car station that is due to be starting again in about 40 minutes!
The place starts earlier so we’re loaded on a full cable car and make our descent – it’s pitch black out but you can see the lights of the entrance area
To the main entrance, we get a Grab and head to the Da Nang beach area like last night for some dinner

Bikini Bottom Express sorts us some very delish double cheeseburgers with chips and a buy two get one free larger of their own
We quickly have that then go to the night market nearby to pick up a walking beer and head along the beach North
Like last night, we go to our place that serves us two tiger beers and one free as well and get to the beach area nearer our hotel where we saw last night they’ve said there’ll be some fireworks
We wander to the beach as there’s some fire shows in the bars on the beach and then the fireworks happen; they’re kind of just fireworks randomly on the beach but it’s nice
After some time playing on the sand – Daisy even writes Davesy in the sand – we then clean our feet to look at the fishes in front of the fish restaurants
Satisfactorily making friends with a large Grouper, we need the facilities so go into one of the places – East West Brewery Da Nang – and have a couple ciders

We try the original as well as the pineapple version
It’s been a long day so, with there not being too much happening with Vietnamese Reunification Day, we decide to call it a night and walk back to the hotel
