Up, to pack up and check out – we have a small amount of time to go back to Svarga for a repeat of yesterday’s breakfast (pancakes and Javanese coffee)

After, we order a Grab taxi and get taken to the Yogyakarta International Airport – even though it’s almost two hours to get there, it’s just over £10

Our flight comes with free checked in luggage so we’re able to drop off our big bags and get through security quite easily

The airport is quite jazzy and fresh – as if it’s brand new

We go to A&W for some lunch: some chicken, a chicken burger, two varieties of chips, an orange juice and a Fanta (Daisy has already devoured the chicken by this point ????)

It’s not too long until it’s time to board; the flight is incredibly packed and boasts 39 rows meaning there’s almost 230 people on the flight… Dave can barely fit in his seat ????

Thankfully, the flight is just over an hour – it actually took us longer to reach the airport than it did to fly to a different Indonesian island!

Upon arriving in Bali, we realise we’ve encountered another timezone change

We get a bus to the airport and get straight to passport control; Bali has it’s very own tourism tax – we paid this in advance online so as to prevent faffing in this situation

Turns out no one checks anyway so we just get out bags and try to get a ride to our hotel as quickly as possible; it’s not an easy job but we eventually get a Gojek taxi to the ibis Bali Kuta

We have a quick shower and then head out to explore; we walk up to the busy area, by Kuta Beach

You can access the waterfront quite easily where we spot some fireworks happening elsewhere, which must be for Ascension Day

After a look around, we settle on Kutabex Bar & Resto which sorts us a Thai green Prawn curry and a local dish of grilled Chicken in Indonesian spices

After, we fancy a sweet treat so wander down the road to hunt

We find Flapjaks that sorts us some large gelato cones

Feeling a little shattered, we decide to walk down the road to a place that’s more easily accessible to cars and get a Gojek back to the hotel where we watch so Good Place before bed
