Well… the bed is comfy enough but we’re surprised that not one single person for-warned us of the 4:30am 30 minute mosque call on the island!
Aside from that, we get rested as much as we can before getting up and out and about
First point of call is coffee – Dave found Gili Coffee Roasters so we head over that way
En route, there’s a wiggly dusty road and several cows in the shade of some palm trees

We make it and get a couple coffees as well as a avocado smash breakfast and some banana poffertjes with a view of their produce garden
Then, we wander down to the water’s edge; there’s cafes and bars a plenty but we have swimming in mind so we reach Adangolo Snorkeling and get a set of snorkels and fins each
There’s a couple snorkeling points of interest on the East side of the island, including Hans Reef, so we keep ourselves entertained in the sea for over an hour
We spot Puffer Fish, Parrot Fish, Angel Fish, Trumpet Fish, Trigger Fish, Unicorn Fish, giant Sea Cucumber in addition to two Green Turtle and large a Hawksbill Turtle!
Getting hungry, we get out and get to Pelangi Cottages And Restaurant where we have arrabbiata pasta and fish a chips

With some time before we have to return the gear, we venture in again
This time we spot not one, not two… but six more Marine Turtles!
Note: next time we have the opportunity, we’ll be getting a water camera to share the sights ????
We give back our gear and pop back to Pelangi and have a couple of cocktails as it’s happy hour and the sun’s setting

Next, we get back to our hotel to freshen up and head back out to the SW of the island where we find Salabose Bar & Restaurant
It’s our 2.5 year anniversary today so we splash the cash a little and get a treat of meat for each ????

One Aussie tenderloin steak with the trimmings and another with garlic shrimps as well, with a couple of local wine
There’s live music going on here so we enjoy that for a little before it ends and we deciding to move on
Another bar is hosting a full moon party but we’re just fancying a quiet one; on the way back, we find that a different place has some live music so we catch the end of that briefly

We walk home and decide we’re kind of hungry still so wander to see if we can find anywhere open for a snicky-snack
Seems everything has closed up early today but on our meandering, we come across several Frogs, a couple Cats, a Cock and Hen in a tree and even a Hermit Crab!

After this excitement, we opt to pop to a supermarket to grab some small noms before getting to bed
