Not the best night’s sleep again but hey-ho
We get up, get checked out and make our way to Kopi Susu – it’s another build-your-own-breakfast and we both get one each in addition to a couple coffees

Next, we’re off to the harbour as we’re getting another boat today
The harbour is a little behind schedule but not as bad as Padang Bai ????
We board our fast boat and arrive in less than 10 minutes: Gili Meno
The water here is magnificently blue and chock-a-block with schools of fish

There’s seemingly no tax to pay upon arriving so we start the trek to our hotel; within just two minutes of walking, Dave spots a Turtle who’s come to the surface for air!
The distance to our hotel isn’t actually too far but we realise soon on that moving about on the sinking sand and in midday heat probably wasn’t our smartest move ????
We arrive at Ana Warung and Bungalows, have a ice tea welcome drink and get out bags to our room
Not long after, we’re ready to get out and about to explore – we wander up North of the island and choose Adeng-Adeng Beach Restaurant and Bar for some lunch

An Adeng-Adeng pizza with two sprites
Dave makes friends with the local kitties too

They have snorkel rental here so we opt for that so we can leave our bag behind safely and set off to explore Turtle Paradise, the snorkel hotspot just out to sea from here, first
This place is amazingly covered in Sea Turtles – we venture Westward around the island and spot over 20 of them, Hawksbill and Green alike ????
Around the top left corner of the island, at Meno Wall, we come across a current change and fight our way to the shore in hope of getting out and walking around a bit to keep going
We do after about 20 minutes and then find Malfina Beach Bar & Resto which sorts us a couple sprites to keep our sugars up
After this, it’s back in and not long before we’re engulfed in many more Turtles as well as the underwater landmark known as Nest: it’s a circular statue of couples dancing and it’s quite jazzy
We keep going until we make it to the reef of Meno; the sun starts it’s decent and we realise we’re pretty knackered so tty and find a way back to shore with the tide lowering
In total, we saw between 40 and 50 Turtles; we honestly lost count ????
On land, we appreciate we’ve swam about three fifths of the island!
We walk back to drop our rented gear off and grab another sprite for the last bit back to the hotel, as well as enjoying the beauty of the sunset

Back to the hotel, we freshen up and give our sunburns a little love
Then, we make our way back to Malfina Beach Bar & Resto as they have a fire show on tonight

They have some very cheap dinner options too
One yellow chicken curry, one Thai green chicken curry and a couple of happy hour beers

Not entirely full, we even have a second dinner of a beef steak between us
Finally, we share a banana pancake and a couple more beers to refuel us completely

After this, we decide to make our way back and get some rest
