Day 248 – Feeling a bit Gili

A bit of a late night last night, a couple of mozzie attacks in the night so a sleepy start

Dave heads out to Better Me Cafe to grab a couple of cappuccinos and some pancakes whilst Daisy does some work with Ice Age on in the background

We are rather late out; we walk into town and settle on Fat Cats cafe for a spot of late lunch

A meatball sub and some fish and chips – our belly’s still feeling careful it seems

After food, we take a stroll along the front to check out the ferry tickets to Nusa islands – more expensive in person than online, so that answers that one!

A bit more of a stroll and some nosing at the shops; we reach Gili Beach and then head back to the Irish bar for a cheeky pint of Heineken on the beach

We even go for a little swim, brief tho as it’s a whole load of dead coral here for a large stretch so a little painful

Next, we carry on our clockwise stroll around the outside of island taking in the sights and sunset before heading to Rabbit Jump: a massive pool bar with foam, dj, lighting, fire shows, diving boards and cheap beer!

After a few hours, we head back to freshen up and head back out to meet a couple of Kiwi friends we originally met in Ubud

A few drinks and a couple of mini pizzas back at Rabbit Jump before we walk about 20 minutes to Q’Palagos beach bar where a Full Moon party is being hosted

Along the route here, one of the Kiwis purchased a “shroom shake” so he was partaking in another sort of partying too ????

We grab a couple drinks here and enjoy sitting on the beach chatting

There’s a bonfire, fire dancing and we grab a cheeky crepe each for dinner

Around the midnight mark, we decide to head back but we make sure to grab a pizza for the walk back from a little place on the way
