We’re up with some hotel coffees before starting to get ready and check out
With some time to play with, we opt to walk into town and by the harbour – rather than get the horse and cart – it’s a hard 30 minute walk with our bags
We arrive to Mommos Cafe & Bakery Trawangan, order some cappuccinos but are sadly told that the wait for food is about 30 minutes; we don’t have time for this as we’re meant to be on a boat in about 20
Daisy makes a dash for the ferry check in to get our passes and then we get in the queue at the port to pay the harbour tax; it’s a pretty ridiculous system but we eventually pay and watch a large ca-fuff-ful of our boat
It is about 40 minutes behind schedule by the time we’re boarded but we do eventually set off
Our boat stops at Gili Air, Lombok and then it’s a 3 hour journey to Nusa Pedina where everyone remaining is off-loaded and we’re divided on different boats based on our final destination
We have a boat that’s rather over-packed and takes us about 20 minutes around the corner to Nusa Lembongan’s Yellow Bridge Port

Before setting off today, we also pre-paid for a shuttle to take us to our hotel, which we were very thankful for after this already long journey
It’s not far until we reach D’Puncak Villas Lembongan – it’s got one of the highest reviews we’ve come across on Google Maps so it’s got to be a good sleep ????
We check in and go play in the pool as well as admire the surroundings

After, we freshen up and chill for a little before deciding to investigate the town
It’s just over a 20 minute walk and mostly downhill; we’ve got a specific restaurant in mind but it’s not the easiest to find
We go down a street that takes us to the beach and down another to eventually find it – it’s kind of like a restaurant out the back of someone’s house but it’s pleasant and very cheap
Starving, we order cashew and chicken stir fry, Thai green curry as well as a variation of pad Thai (we were so hungry we only got a picture of the first thing ????)

There’s a Dutch couple, from Rotterdam, on the same table and we get talking – they are very lovely and it’s nice to share stories and recommendations ????
One of which is the fried bananas they serve here so we get some for us too – definitely more appetising than it might look, especially with local honey

Following this, we’re absolutely shattered so we wander to the main road and get a ride with a local taxi – it’s a bit pricey but worth it
We get back and get straight to bed
