Day 253 – It’s Thai time

5:30am start today – ouchy ????

Up and out, we get a grab to the airport – it only takes 20 minutes

Turns out, when you’re up this early, there’s not much of the typical Bali traffic – we should just go everywhere before 6am and you don’t spend hours in the Bali traffic ????

In the airport, we go through security with the scanners just being a bit broken and throwing our bags about

It’s not cheap inside the airport but we need breakfast – so to Wolfgang pub where we have two cheese toasties and two cappuccinos – one of the cheaper options here coming to only £25!!

Onto the bus to the plane, we board and even accidentally split up a couple of people so we can be together – bad Daisy ????

Off to Bangkok!

The 4 hour flight arrives on schedule, thankfully, and we get off to make our way through immigration, take a left and go through a few corridors and back into terminal 2 domestic departures

Quickly through security we end up at KFC for a spot of lunch

Black Canyon Coffee sorts us a couple of cappuccinos and then we head down to the basement for gate 83, with just enough time

We are bussed over to the plane, take off and just over an hour later, we get to Chiang Mai! ????

Off to the hotel with a cheeky inDrive (another e-hailing service in Asia) – Hotel De Sripoom it is for us as it did us good last time we were here

After 10 hours we’ve finally made it, so a much needed shower and chill it is, finishing Heat which we started yesterday

Dinner time comes around and we wander out to an old favourite: Eat & Drink, park of U Chiang Mai hotel

A pad Thai, a chicken green curry and a couple of large draught Changs

We have a mojito each in the BOGOF happy hour and then slowly walk back finding a couple of dinner options for tomorrow on the way

Just before we make it to our road, we find Lanna Square which is a food court-style night market with bars and cafes as well as live acts playing

We walk through here to get a cheeky cut through and get back to sort some admin before bed
