Today, we are up around 9:30am and venture to breakfast early  – it pays off as they’re far more stocked than the day before

We have some pancakes with maple syrup as well as some chicken green curry

After, we get back to the room to prepare for checking out; we’ve booked another place in Pai as the price for one night extra here was almost the same for the two nights we’ve already stayed!

Canary Guesthouse is over the Pai River – along the way, we cross over the sling bridge, we had the day before, to notice that the bamboo bridge that was a bit worse for ware has actually now been swept away!

We can’t check in by the time we get there but we drop our bags and take the laptop with us to go get some lunch while doing some work

Back onto the walking street, we go to Pai Authentic Travel as, sadly, the Tipsy Tubing has been cancelled because of excessive rain and a strong current on the river ☹️ it’s just another reason we’ll have to revisit Pai though

Lemon & Thyme Cafe is just next door where we have a couple of cappuccinos while we work out what to do next

We go to the Pai bus terminal to buy some tickets back to Chiang Mai for tomorrow and I’m Fine cafe is opposite

They sort us a ham & cheese and a peppers & cheese toastie which we share between us as well as a banana milkshake for Dave and a mango shake for Daisy

By this point, we can check in at the hotel so we pop back to do this and then head back out shortly

We have a fair bit of admin to do as the end of our travels, to be back in England for a couple months, is turning quite expensive – this requires a pint, which we get from Jikko Cocktail Bar

A couple hours later of working it all out, we have some sort of plan ????

Following this, we wander around the town doing a loop in hunt of a pie Pai shop; unfortunately, it seems none is to be found so there’s definitely a gap in the market here!

We get hungry and go to Céntrico Café and Mexican Restaurant Pai

As it’s taco Tuesday, they have those and margaritas on offer – Daisy has one of the latter as well as a burrito bowl, Dave has a long island ice tea in addition to some chicken fajitas

A bit exhausted – for no real reason as we didn’t accomplish much today – we decide to go back to the hotel where we watch a film and go to bed
