Day 29 – TTFN Macedonia

Up and have a wholesome breakfast: a giant kiwi and a large berry yoghurt between us

Check out and head to Macedonia Square where we settle for Cafe Trend/London Bistro for some brunch just off of the square

Two “Traditional English” (Macedonian version of the English brekkie) – not too shoddy, but where’s the brown sauce!

Now to adventure as it’s less wet today, we head for the Old Bazaar again and it is indeed busier around all the tat stores

Though, we have our bags today so Daisy suffers and we pop to the Austrian Lounge for a coffee and people watching for a little bit

After we walk around and stumble upon a memorial, which includes Mother Teresa

We find out the Albanian-Indian Catholic nun was, in fact, born in Skopje

Off to find out more! Back over the Stone Bridge and through Macedonia Square down a different path to find the Memorial House of Mother Teresa

It seems to be right next to Church of Saint Constantine and Helena (which is Orthodox)

We go onto Macedonia Street and then realised we need to start getting towards the bus stop to get to the airport

Unfortunately, the buses are oddly timed today so we have to opt for a cab – €20!

We get there and, being another small airport, we breeze through passport control and security, and there’s more going on here than in Sarajevo thankfully!

Our early dinner

Flight on time and we take off easily, though we are seated apart ???? stupid Wizz Air

Land and straight off to passport control and a bus is there waiting to whisk us off to the centre!

Arrive at the bus station and walk down to our hotel, get settled and choose a night in
