Wake up from a very refreshing night’s sleep – this place definitely does shutters and beds correctly (even if you could hear the lift through the walls ????)
Out after a brisk shower, as you apparently need to mess in the fuse box to get hot water going!
Very limited zebra crossings so have to panic to cross the roads often ????
We find Psirri Square which is full of life on this Sunday (and likely to during the evenings as well) – settle for some brunch at Liosporos – Λιόσπορος

Filled to the brim, we continue through to Monastiraki Square – roof top venues aplenty, lots of tat being sold and even talented street artists (+ very hot and busy!)
We pass Hadrian’s Library and reach Adrianoy – a notable street with restaurants and more tat – that guides you towards Roman Agora (Roman Forum of Athens) and Horologion of Andronikos Cyrrhestes

We pick one of the many streets around and find Stairs Athens – a very tight, hustling and bustling area of restaurants, bars and cafés

We venture up the steep hill and purchase a ticket – seems you’re half an adult being under 25! (Non EU only – thank you Brexit? ????)
We take a peak up Areopagus Hill (some rocks to the side of the Acropolis but gives you a good viewpoint of it and the city)
Not in peak season and autumn time but it is certainly roasting – good to have a hat and suncream – we have neither obviously
Go up to see the Parthenon, Theatre of Disyus, Athena Nike, etc.. lots of repairs going on – seemingly due to previous repairs just making things worse

Everything was available, bar the North and East slopes around unfortunately, and battled the heat for over an hour – time for a sit and chill as a reward!
We go back to Stairs Athens and take a pew at Anafiotika Cafe – Restaurant

As sunset approaches we head to 360 degrees for a rooftop drink with views of the acropolis- prices are beyond extortionate so have a couple of juices!
Hungry now, head for Indian at Mirch/Naanwich – make sure to go up to the roof terrace; it’s not bad, but keep going up some tiny steps in the corner, follow them up and a super roof terrace with the best views of the acropolis ????

Food notes:
- Chicken vindaloo – nice, earthy and authentic Indian herbs, not too spicy but it grows, lots of meat for your order
- CTM – almost like a mascarpone, meat sauce for pasta – have they mixed up the recipe with next door? –
- Chili onion naan – nice bread for the naan, decent amount of filling and chared just enough, but a little too flat
Curry done, we head back through the Ghetto to apartment!
Note: highly recommend you don’t wonder the streets outside the centre alone, they are rough! Though most people seemed content injecting cocaine into their arms and left us be as we hurried through trying not to get murdered
Step over a homeless woman and stray dogs to get into the front door (she was lovely tho and named the dog Lucy ????)
