Day 485 – Pier-ing at Pattaya

Wake up and head down for the breakfast included in our stay

This consists of a variety of Thai and Western dishes in a buffet as well as a pancake and egg bar

We head back up to the room for a little before getting ready and get out to explore a market

Pattaya Night Bazaar, which is open during the day as well as the evening, doesn’t have what we’re after but jazzy to look around

After, we wander down the waterfront area to find Pattaya Walking Street

At this time of day, it’s dead as a doornail but we get a taste of what it’s like in the evening; we get hungry and get a Hawaiian pizza from Byblos Pizza

After eating, we carry on walking in the same direction and find that the pizzeria is actually connected to a beach bar – annoying but we know for another time now ????

Further on is Bali Hai Pier – we spot a board showing various cheap routes to close by islands

It’s a little late in the day to attempt these but, again, good to know for another time

Continuing this direction is the Pattaya sign (see the featured image) in addition to the The Lighthouse of Cape Bali Hai

Opposite this a viewpoint is signposted so we go and take a look

It seems it might once have been a viewpoint but the bushes and trees haven’t been trimmed a while making it a difficult view to see

Nevertheless, we walk to the helipad and back down again

Back towards the city we wander before hitching a ride with the 10 baht buses where we pop back to the hotel for a little

As the sunsets, we head out and grab a draught beer each from a sort-of market in front of the Central Pattaya mall building

We start getting hungry and hunt for a night market with some decent variety food stalls and get to Tree Town Pattaya

It’s a bit early for this area to be busy but most of the bars here seem to have draught beer, which is uncommon and good to know for another time

Not 100% certain of what we’re fancying for dinner, we go to a safe bet for dinner as we’ve been to Kamikaze Seafood & Steak Restaurant before

A cheeseburger and a salad with a couple happy hour cocktails does the trick

Annoyingly, we have a very early transport booked for the morning so we have to head back and try and get some sleep
