We have breakfast on the roof of our hotel

Dave is feeling a little poorly so we try and take it easy…
We wander down the Kaoh Touch beach grabbing a pretty terrible coffee along the way and then go to Real for another attempt at coffee
At then end of this is a stall set up by the Ocean Lounge Hostel and Lost Boys which is renting motorbikes so we get one each
The road from here isn’t recommended so we ride back the way we came and take the road around the edge of the island to take us past Long Beach

We continue on and drive all the way to the North East of the island arriving us into the Preaek Svay region of the island
Here is something Dave found a while ago and might have been a big factor as to our purpose for coming to Cambodia and definitely Koh Rong
Natural Kitchen is a restaurant hosted on a stilted house tucked away in this village by the water; it’s also listed on Google as The Otter Bar
We arrive and are basically told to leave and come back later when they are less busy but we hang nearby and are eventually offered a seat
The french owner is rather dismissive and serves customers one-by-one but we are eventually sorted a drink each and order something off the menu

Basically as soon as this happens, we get a sighting of the famous otter that lives in the area and is enticed to visit because of their scraps!
She is so very lovely and we get to enjoy our food we’ve ordered before she comes back for a second visit ????

It’s been about three hours by now so we pay up and head elsewhere – we try Lonely Beach but the roads are so bad we have to turn back after only 10 minutes of driving
Next to try is Pagoda Beach so we drive that way, miss the turning and Daisy thinks to have found us a route
This turns out not to be the case… we persist anyway and eventually find ourselves basically there
The sun is going down so we get back on the main road and dash to Long Beach, which is on the Western side of the island for the sunset

We just about catch a glimpse of it and enjoy the powdery quartz (squeaky) sand and then carry on back to Kaoh Touch beach
The sun makes amazing colours for the journey back

Thankfully we arrive back in one piece and are happily able to drop off the bikes before getting a fizzy drink for the walk back to our room
We have a brief issue with the room having no water but eventually can shower and settle for a little bit before popping out to Coco’s to have some pretty poor dinner
Once we’re finished, we get back to the room to try and sleep off the poorly-ness
