A slow start and we realise it’s a special day today – it’s Gary Garrison’s birthday (see the featured image)!

We got him last year, 3rd February, in Tasmania

Feeling a bit lazy and with it too close to missing the specific time frame, we order a McDonald’s breakfast from Grab to have on our room’s balcony

As it gets close to midday, we figure we best get out of the room for a little so the cleaners can refresh our room

We head down to the pool and get on with a little admin for a couple hours and then an obligatory splash in the pool

After this, we’re a little hungry so order a pad kra pow and orange juice to share

Just before it comes, Dave spots an Asian open billed stork perched near the pier looking for his own snack

We go back to the room and lounge for the remainder of the afternoon and then prepare ourselves to venture out of the hotel walls

As it’s a bit of a pain to get a Grab from here, we wander about half an hour to Panda Thai Food

With it being our final night in Thailand, we go for our usual dish selection

The restaurant also provides us a free ice cream and mango & sticky rice for dessert

To walk off dinner, we walk back home too and spot a little toad just before getting back to the hotel

It’s bed early tonight to prepare for another big journey
