Day 114 – Narooma has our seal of approval

Very slow get up after a cheeky night

Coffee and telly for a while before we are persuaded to get up by our hunger

Pop just over the road to Sublime Narooma for some spuds

Bolognese sauce, avocado, salad and cheese ????

While we eat, we see a many-legged starfish

Fueled, we wonder down to the waterfront – we were recommended Mill Bay Boardwalk for some good chance at some animal sightings

Weather is a lot more reasonable for us today, more like back home

Little pavement next to the road takes us by some mangroves where we see a bunch of green crabs

We go via the Narooma Bridge which is able to raise up to let tall boats in and out of the marina

We make it to the boardwalk which is supposed to give you a good chance of seeing some Manta Rays!

Unfortunately, we don’t get lucky but the trail does take us to the Narooma Boat Ramp

There’s people coming in from a morning of fishing, as the weather has turned a little soggy, and there’s a place to clean and cut your fish

The wildlife knows this as a bunch are around: Comorants, Sea Gulls and three pretty large Sting Rays!

The attention is very much on this show but there’s a secret snoozer behind the action

Literally on the grass behind, this guy’s hiding

We walk back the same route we came as the rain starts spitting

After the bridge, we venture to the right to go via the more mangrove-y side of the town

There’s the marina here too

Up a stupidly steep hill, we go briefly into Woolworths for some supplies and a cheap dinner before heading back to the motel

Time to chill with a small amount of the Aussie classic, Red Dog, on in the background

Little bits of admin before bed ????
