Wake up and get out of our place
We pop to a Macca’s nearby, still in Hervey Bay, for a treat brekkie

On the road we’ve got to get passed the bottom half of the Great Sandy National Park, consisting of a very long arched stretch of beaches
Sadly the road doesn’t go near to the shore so driving inland but we then make it to Noosa
Just before, we spot a couple Koalas in the trees – the one Dave eyes even looks like a literal teddy bear!

As we get into Noosaville, we’re hungry again – we have some lunch at Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine for some shared noms

Now we’re fueled we get back to the car to change into swimming gear and head to Pelican Boat Hire which sorts us a double kayak
We get out and onto the open water
The Noosa River is categorised as an Everglades – unlike the one in Florida, they don’t have Alligators here – because of the swamp-like shallow nature of the water
The hire lasts two hours and we get out and around Goat Island and then round Makepeace Island and through the thin mangrove path past Sheep Island
We spot lots of Heron, more than a handful of Comerants, a few Egrets and even a couple Pelican

Back to land we wash off and head to Woolies to grab some bits for dinner tonight
Then, the place we’re staying tonight isn’t too far; straight on with dinner

A CTM with a kick, some homemade wedges, garlic naans and some poppadoms
We have a proper shower followed by chilling in bed with Angel Has Fallen and then to sleep
