Wake up to have some bacon and eggs provided by the Air BnB ????

We head out for the half hour drive to Awful Campers in Brisbane to drop off the rust bucket
Considering we were expecting the worst, it actually went smoothly, they took note of the long list of issues and blamed it all on the other camper van company (Camperman) for not sorting them…
Anyhoo, onto the train and to Shorncliffe to checkin to our next Air BnB
It’s basically somebody’s back room but it’s the best we can do with P!nk tour selling out all of Brisbane, basically
We freshen up and decide what to do with our day… and would you believe it we actually come across some tickets for Pink for only £50 each
Warning: Ticketek is shite – if you are not using an Australian bank card, it will just error and fail every time!
So for £55 each, we get some resale ones from Tixel that actually works with foreign cards
We head out to the station taking a circle along the waterfront past the marina, pier, etc.

Walking along the road, a man walking who we think is the is the living day Forest Gump it seems gets talking to us – he’s just off for a run, but tells us about his grandad serving in Waterloo, his various cousins and uncles serving with a Viceroy in India, being spies in Berlin in WWII, sailors retrieving sunken treasure, was almost the 5th Bee Gee…
Anyhoo, off to the station and catch the train to the Suncorp Stadium to see P!nk’s Summer Carnival!
The trains here actually take contactless – well at least for us people who’s cards actually work (looking at you Daisy ????)
We get off at Roma, join the crowds of jazzily dressed people heading off to some sort of concert ????
Stop off at the Caxton Hotel for some drinks – they have got a hotdog tent outside and everything
We grab a couple of cheap burgers and fries for food with a jug of beer before heading to Suncorp Stadium

First up is KidCutUp – a DJ set who seems to take all the best bits from each song and throws them together – it’s like a speedy wedding disco with some bangers
Then on to Tones and I – feels like she’s new to the stage but they throw together a good show

After some more KidCutUp it’s time for the main event… it’s P!nk!!!
She plays all the bangers we all know, stops a few times to sign bits and have fun with the audience – and spends a lot of time flying around the stadium
Lots of lights, dancing, fireworks – it’s a good show!

After a fantastic show, it’s time to stumble home – but not before all the seating and everybody gets out the stadium before standing is allowed out ????????♂️ very weird setup but it seems the Aussie’s are actually very compliant and don’t really bunch up too much – this would never go down back home!!
We stroll along back and see some security dancing along to Gangnam Style outside a pub so we join in
Pop in for some cheeky bevvies and to dance and natter with some locals
Must leave now, it’s time for the last train!!
A train ride back, a walk just as it starts raining and in bed a little after 1am!
