Not too early, not too late this morning; we get up and have a quick coffee and shower and make our way straight to Venice Cafe
We’re early enough today to enjoy their breakfast menu – Dave orders a treat of eggs Benedict and Daisy some beef noodles, a Vietnamese breakfast

Stuffed, we continue on to the Hon Thom Departure Terminal where we grab some tickets and get onto a cable car with ease
They’re quite big so there’s a couple of different groups on it; you get a good view regardless of your place in the cabin

This is the longest non-stop three-rope cable car in the world – even holding a Guinness World Record for this – at 7,899.9m long
It takes about 20 minutes to get over and it covers three islands off the coast of Phu Quoc
We land and get straight to adventuring – first, we head to Exotica Park
This is a theme park and only consists of two rides at the moment but not too bad as it comes free with the roundtrip cable car ticket
We go to “Wood Snake Rage” first – this is the first and only wooden rollercoaster in all of Vietnam and it’s one hell of a ride

Next is “Eagle Eye” which gives you a bird’s eye view all around the island – not quite as exhilarating but certainly a great view
Then we aim for Aquatopia Water Park

We get a locker for our bits and get straight to the water – the lazy river is nice for a little bit but we are like children in a McDonald’s playpen and want some rides ????
Some of them are still being constructed/ worked on but we ride all the ones we can
After about an hour, we get hungry so grab a fresh juice each and then a burger combo meal each – a bit more expensive than we’d like but not too damaging
We weren’t allowed on all of the rides, as Daisy’s bikini had some metal parts on the back so meant it wasn’t possible – as well as all her piercings – but we don’t mind
They have a wave pool here too which is nice in the shaded parts
We realise we’ve been here for about 4 hours and need to start making a move back – the cable car stops operation after 5pm and we have another activity to get to shortly after then

The ride back over is just as scenic but much hotter, it seems
We get back to Sunset Town, dash to our accommodation to have a quick spritz and then out again for some well earned fresh OJ

Now, we make our way to the Kiss Bridge; we’re not allowed th OJ so down it quickly and get on to the bridge – it’s ticketed but the cable car ticket includes this in the price
The Love Hurricane watersports show is made for this viewpoint – you can see that the water hover boarding people have ladies with them initially and they’re dancing together

The show is awesome and we get to enjoy the sunset from here
Additionally, we each go to a different side of the bridge and kiss as it was intended to!

There’s some information on the bridge that says it was created as a representation of human connection communicating the Renaissance philosophy that is seen in Michaelangelo’s painting “The Creation of Adam”, or fondly known as “The Touch”
The bridge is akin to the closeness of the hands trying to touch with having a part of the bridge have an almost touching, but not, segment – this relates to human connection because social media and technology are causing a gap between our interactions, as people, and yet making us yern more for it
After the sun sets, we walk the entirety of the bridge and then back round on land to the Vui Fest Bazaar – we quickly grab a large spicy sausage pizza to share as well as a couple of beers and anothet fresh OJ

We have this to nom while we watch the Vietnamese Puppetry show properly
They use this art as a means of teaching their people about the history and paramount cultural building blocks of the Vietnamese way
We hear about the way ladies dress, music and rice all through puppetry from the water as well as through dance and using their feet for puppets – our favourite character is the cow!

The show is short but well made and at the end, they allow you to come close in order to see how they operate the puppets and even have a go yourself, more for the children though
After, we get back to the food street and have a chicken Mì Quảng to share – this is a form of tumeric flat noodles in a broth with fresh veg

Then, we walk up and down the street and are persuaded by some traditional Vietnamese spring rolls and the local Phu Quoc draft beer, totalling at just £3.30
The spring rolls actually come with vermicelli noodles and lots of fresh leaves as well as containing various meats within

Next, we head to the supermarket at the end of the road for some supplies before making our way back to the hotel
We’ve got a little time so we get the washing machine loaded for a short run while we wait for the fireworks and get a great view from our rooftop!

While waiting for the laundry, we do a little work and when it’s done we watch the end of Castaway before calling it a day ????
