Day 21 – How do you Du(brovnik)?

Early start to the coach and a long ride

Land in Dubrovnik and grab a bus to the old town entrance as it’s pedestrialised (or should we say made before cars)

It indeed has quite the entrance; we enter via Pile Gate which has a draw bridge and crowds everywhere

Teeny tiny basement room (oh dear Daisy!)

We head out to venture the streets and hope we can find a decent price meal!

The old port, Buza Gate, Ploče Gate, a currently-being-refurbished Dominican Monastery – all very pleasant and walkable

Find a few decent dinner options and then settled at Buza Bar to watch the sunset with a beer

After the sun sets stroll to the Mediterranean restaurant, Wanda, owned by a, rather insane yet, lovely local lady

Dinner was lovely and we followed it with a good tiramisu – was a bit light on the actual sponge part but it was delicious – and some nice glasses of Croatian house wine

Branzino filet (Dalmatian sea bass) and grilled squid

Stroll to The Gaffe for live music, but the room is too small to fit, then we try an outside jazz bar but £9 a pint!

Finally, we settle for a cheeky pint of Pan just around the corner, at Micro, for a reasonable (for Dubrovnik at least) price before bed
