An 8:30 start: we have coffee and chill in bed for a little before getting up to shower, pack and check out
Out of the hotel by 9:50am, we hitch a Grab taxi to Bandung Station as we’re setting off on another train ride – seems we’re touring Java by the rails
We arrive and get our tickets printed before having a little time to pop to Maxx Coffee for a couple of cappuccinos and a snack each
The coffee shop actually sells beans that are sourced locally – one is even from the Cidiwey area we were in the day before around the craters – but they use Brazilian beans for the coffee they serve, oddly
It’s a mad dash to the train – as it actually leaves a tad early – but we quickly find our “executive” seats
They aren’t too much of an upgrade but they’ll do, and they have a table which is handy… for the 8 hour trip ???? this train’s a lot busier than the last too
We bide our time doing work for the majority of the journey – nice to have a constant change of scenery while we do
For lunch, we have the on-train meal of a beef rendang curry box and a beef with black pepper box

The train stops at one of the stations for almost an hour but we do arrive about on time
We get off and hurry to the taxi area and get a Grab to our hotel, Grand Mercure Yogyakarta Adi Sucipto, where we check in, have a brief freshen up and get out again
Another Grab takes us to a little place nearby, called Nanamia Pizzeria Jogja (North Area)
We have a bizarre ordered dinner but yummy nonetheless: a Nanamia special pizza and a pollo picante pasta

Not stuffed (and everything is very cheap anyway), we indulge in a classic bruschetta and a tiramisu

We then walk back home, via a Circle K shop for some water, back to the hotel
Time for bed!
