As each day of feeling poorly is going, we’re waking up feeling better which is positive
With this hotel, we have breakfast included – back to the restaurant where we have coffee and juices with a fruit platter each before Dave’s french toast and Daisy’s pancakes come with pastries and toast

We’re even treated by the presence of some birds trying to find a nesting place in some of the restaurant’s lamps
Back to our room, we wake up for a bit longer and then get ready properly to take on the day
We set off on a walk and are quite quickly introduced to Ubud’s beauty

Carrying on along the road, we stumble on Ciao Nonna which sorts us for some lunch
A meatball panini each, a little soup to share and a cappuccino

We keep walking up the road until we find the bustling heart of Ubud; just below the centre, we reach the Sacred Monkey Forest
It’s a place where they’ve encouraged the settlement of the native Monkeys from here – it’s only £4 pp so we figure we might as well go for it
You’re instantly immersed with the Monkeys and there are several paths you can take so it takes over an hour to fully explore and get chance encounters with them

The place has several places of worship within that are used by the local community
There’s even a garden where members of the community have been buried, as they’ve passed away, and they are kept here for until there’s a cremation ceremony which only happens every five years – the Monkeys play amongst them quite happily

After we go round the entire place, we head out and pop to a shop to grab some liquids and then a Grab back to our hotel
Here, we do a little work and try resting for a while
As it gets late, we decide to just have dinner here and, with the hotel restaurant shut, we order a KFC Grab take away

Once this is done, we call it a night and hope to feel better tomorrow!
