Day 247 – Gili T

We are up and get to our place’s restaurant out front with the sea; we have breakfast included so Dave has a pineapple juice, a pineapple pancake and a very strong Lombok coffee and Daisy has the same all except a banana pancake instead

Then, we get back to get ready and pack up to leave

Instead of taking the shore-side route, we opt for the inland paths as they’re a little more shaded

We make it to the harbour just about on time to catch the boat

In just shy of 10 minutes, we land in Gili Trawangan ????

The place is so incredibly chaotic – people everywhere seemingly waiting for a boat – we do our best to get out of the chaos as quick as possible wrangling a ride with a horse and cart

Thank goodness we did too, it was about a 14-minute ride to our hotel, on the West side of the island, called Sea Shell Resort

Our room isn’t ready just yet so we leave our bags and venture towards the sea where we go to Better Me Cafe for a couple of cappuccinos, a pesto chicken wrap and some fish and chips

We pop to a local shop to get some much needed suncream moisturiser before going back to the hotel to get our room

Here, we have a spritz and chill in the air conditioned room doing a little work before going to play in the pool briefly

Sadly, the pool’s a little dirty so we paddle around for a little and then go back to our room to do some more work before getting ready and heading out for the evening

We go back to the West side of the island as this has prime sunset viewing with some pina coladas

At Aston Sunset Beach Resort, they have an outdoor cinema which we’re hoping to get a couple beanbag seats to enjoy; however, we first have some dinner at their Coral Resto and Bar

A chicken schnitzel and a cheese burger

Next, we get a couple of beanbags in the second row for the cinema: they’re showing Avengers Endgame

With this, we have a couple snacks from the local supermarket and a couple of sex on the beach cocktails

Being almost three hours long, we’re kinda sleepy at the end so wander back and have Forrest Gump on the telly before calling it a night
