Day 260 – Last day in North Thailand, for now

Sleeping on the floor didn’t seem to do us too many favours but it wasn’t a terrible sleep all in all

We are ready and check out around 11:30am; somehow – we have literally no idea – Daisy manages to get a bee in her Jesus slippers and gets stung on the bottom of her foot

When she stops sobbing, we get on with our day and wander to Cheese Madness as we’re both fancying a toastie for bruch

One chicken pesto and another buffalo chicken which we share half and half

After this, coffee is needed so we go to Lemon Thyme Cafe for a couple of cappuccinos

Now, we’re just in time to make our bus – it’s time to leave Pai ????

As well as being sad to leave this lovely and relaxed place, we’re very much not looking forward to the many bends in the road we remember from the initial drive

We have a stop off along the way at the same place as last time so we get to say hello to Hulk again

Back in the bus, it’s another 1.5 hours before we make it back to Chiang Mai’s bus terminal where we get a Grab taxi quickly to our hotel: Be Phrasingh Hotel

We check in, have a shower and enjoy the giant telly for a bit before getting kinda hungry

Tonight, we wander down the old city and just the other side of the remnants of the city wall and moat is Ribs & Co

We of course had to have the place’s namesake for dinner and what a feast – we get a whole rack of ribs to share and we didn’t quite realise they would literally bring half a pig for us (for around £12 too)?!

After this, we decide to save some energy for exploring tomorrow as we’re moving on from Chiang Mai so walk back

Along the way, we spy some potential places for brunch in the morning as well as Gravity Café & Bistro where we pick up a chocolate danish and a choc chip cookie

We take these back and, before getting to our room, we pop up to the hotel’s rooftop to get a little view (see the featured image)

Then, we get back and watch a film before bed
