Day 353 – Park and comedy

Today, we’re feeling a bit more energised so venture out and have Macca’s (Maccie’s) for some lunch

We realise that nearby is some green space: Albert Park

It’s rather steep up to it but nice to explore; sadly, native animals, like Possums, are not warmly welcomed so there’s a few warning for bait traps in the area ????

The park is pretty but a few of the paths could do with some looking after as it seems that tree’s have fallen or overgrown to take over some of the pathways!

We wander about admiring the mix of greenery and concrete jungle

Being this side of the city, we head over to Woolworths Auckland City to source some supplies for meals

After, we head back and have a nose around the building’s facilities that the apartment we’re staying in offers – it includes a rooftop pool (bit nippy for this time of year, sadly) (see the featured image)

We have a couple hours to chill before we head out again; it’s the beginning of Auckland Fringe this year and we’ve found some free tickets to a comedy gig

The venue is a bit out of town and, annoyingly, the train station in the neighbourhood is closed at the moment so we have to get off at another and walk – of course, it pours down briefly during this ????

We arrive at Brothers Brewery and order the meat platter for 2 as well as a jug of pilsner

The comedy is just over an hour and an assortment different comedy styles

We head off shortly after it ends to catch the train back and call it a night – this has been a busy day!
