Day 43 – Home time (for a little, anyways)

Up with a couple of coffees, a shower and knocks on the door from the cleaner

Out and head towards some brunch, all laden with our bags

Le Bab is supposedly the best brunch in town so we give it a go

Two shashukas – they certainly didn’t disappoint ????

Time to start for the airport so we grab the M1 to the main train station (where the trains to the airport are pretty infrequent)

Have a Starbucks while we wait

Strawberries and Cream Frappuchinno & Americano with a little milk

On the train for 20 minutes to the airport

Through security – not as breezy as previous times – and chill before boarding

Use the last of our cash for some freshly squeezed orange juice

Plane seems to be on time! We’re on and in the very seats at the back

Just over three hours and then we land in the UK, with some heafty winds from storm Ciarán

Out and run a little to get to passport control and dash to make sure we get our train

It’s a little delayed, of course, but we’re en route to Leamington

Pop to our abode for the evening: the formidable Thomas James, with twin rooms to save a few pennies

Quick turnaround to get out for a curry with some friends

Chicken Jalfrazi, Chicken Morichacha and Bangla Naan ????

Spend the night with them and then to bed

We’ll be back soon… but until then, TTFN ????
