A quick coffee, brekky and then out of the motel
We have a brief stop at Taste of Kiwi – Springfield Café and then make our way towards Christchurch
Before dropping the car back to Snap Rentals, we pop by Auto Self Serve Truck & Car Wash in Harewood to give the car a spruce (while having a little fun)

The car gets refuelled and then it’s handed back – we covered 3683.2 kilometres this trip!
The rental company gives us a ride to the airport and grab the bus into the centre, as we have a few hours before our flight
We get off and head to Riverside Market as it’s a safe bet – we get settled at Kaiser Brew Garden for some lunch

With some drinks, we complete a couple admin tasks and chill
As the day gets on, we wander elsewhere; we have a jug of Speight’s at the Jolly Poacher

The restaurant we were aiming for to have dinner at is still closed for the holidays so we go to The Nook Thai Eatery on the jazzy New Regent Street
We go for our usual: Thai green curry and pad Thai

It’s a quick dash to have this and head over to the bus stop; the bus is a little late but we do make it with some time to spare at the airport
If you know us by now, you know we do enjoy a cheeky drink to prepare for a flight (see the featured image)
Our flight is on time; we go to board and find we’re on a rather tiny plane

Though short, our time in the air is very windswept!
We land in just about one piece and practically leg it for the bus back to the city
Not realising it the local public transport has slightly shut down so our usual bus home isn’t available anymore…
Instead, we arrive at the end of the line for one bus, sprint through the train station and find a replacement bus service (as the trains barely run anyways)
We make it back, and call it a day
