We organised yesterday to have a little later of a check out which is a welcomed treat – it’s a quick shower, pack and check out by 11am though

Kindly as well, the hotel will hold our big bags for the day so we don’t have to lug them around everywhere

First point of call is some coffee so we stroll to the seafront and find Wharfside Eatery & Bar

Dave has a fish and chips while Daisy holds off to grab some gelato after

With this, we wander towards North Wharf as work has been completed on fixing the Wynyard Crossing bridge

From here, we carry on down the road and meander past Silo Park to find a view of Auckland Harbour Bridge

Getting a bit tired, we decide to make our way back to the hotel and to the airport – we are here very early but it at least means we won’t miss our flight!

We have some KFC popcorn chicken as a snack before finding out that check in won’t be until the restaurants the other side of security will be closed so grab something this side

Blue Marble Lanesorts us a fettuccine chicken carbonara and a lasagne so we rid of the remaining cash we have

Stuffed, we get ourselves seats on the plane and get each of our large bags checked in before getting through security

We can finally board the plane and the next leg of our journey begins ✨
