We manage to get about 12 hours of sleep – very, very needed!

With some hotel coffee, we chill in bed for a few hours before considering getting ready and out for food

We take the route beside the canal and spot a few more monitor lizards lounging – one is even mischievously poking out of a drain cover!

This route takes us to the riverside where Phra Sumen Fort and the riverfront are

We found H Café which delivers some lovely pancake-based brunch

From here, we wander via the waterfront walkway to Thank Phra Athit street and then Ram Buttri Alley where we spot an attraction to do for this evening

After making the arrangements for that, we get back to the hotel briefly before heading out again

We get to Phra Arthit ferry terminal and grab the blue ferry; the journey is about 30 minutes and we get a view from water of the many landmarks of Bangkok, including Wat Arun

We arrive into Asiatique and check into our attraction with a later time for it to start

So, to fill our time, we wander around the stores and rides before settling into the Nava6 restaurant and bar for a cheeky jug of Chang

At 5:15 pm, we get in line to board the Royal Galaxy boat – we’re having a dinner cruise while enjoying the landmarks again as the sun sets

We get a lush view of Wat Arun again (see the featured image) as well as the Rama IX Bridge at night

At the end, one of the poor staff members collects the stickers we were wearing and seems to not mind the variety of placements upon him ????

We’re not the only ones doing this tonight – the Asiatique piers are rammed with many other boats providing the same experience and it takes us almost 30 minutes to get on the ferry back to the centre

Once back to Phra Arthit, we meander to Thanon Ram Buttri, which is adjacent to Khosan Road and also a popular tourist hotspot, where we have a drink at Fu Bar

We realise we were actually here about two years ago when we spent Christmas in Thailand back in 2022!

Pretty tired, we head back to the hotel via a cheeky Maccies and get some rest
