Wake up and go down for breakfast before we clean and pack up

No beans today ☹️ but we manage with toast, coffee and potato rostis

Hop in the shower, stuff our bags and dash out – of course Daisy is delayed and we quickly grab an Uber

So much traffic so we’re cutting it close…

When we meet our driver, we let him know our bus is to arrive soon and he takes us on a shortcut

We must have different definitions as his short cut was practically driving straight down the mountain!

He gets us there just on time, what a perfect cabby

Get on the bus and find our seats

Set off a little delayed but the roads are not the smoothest… they start handing out barf bags and water ????

There’s a short pitstop at a truck lay-by and we grab two chai teas

Back on the road until we meet the toll plaza outside of Chandigarh – our stop… where the bus just doesn’t stop

Three girls in front of us are also needing to get off here and speak enough English to let us know they missed it and they’re heading for the following stop

They miss this too…

Eventually, we get dropped off at the side of a highway ⁉️

We manage to find a tuktuk and just get in – 30 minute drive though!

Even has to grab fuel en route ????

We finally arrive at our hotel; quick check in, minute of piece and quiet then we’re outta here to explore

Straight to Nek Chand’s Rock Garden of Chandigarh

This is a little art exhibit from a local artist and presents a juxtaposition to the formal, grid layout of Chandigarh; a labyrinth-like complex

Lots of nooks and crannies to get lost in and water flowing throughout – so many rock statues

They even have a small aquarium!

There’s a rag doll segment too

Stroll around and enjoy an area where kids are running around and there’s swings all over

We do find our way out, thankfully, and are starving from only having breakfast today ????

Straight to our known and safe bet: the Nexus Elante Mall

We’d been here a couple days ago and know they have a food court on the top floor

We settle for Chili’s

Yummy but we had enough room for just one more thing

Molton chocolate cake with ice cream

Completely stuffed, we head out to grab an Uber and have an early night for another morning of travel!
