Day 92 – Batu Caves

Off out a bit late for brunch at Keeka coffee roasters for a coffee, berrie bowl and smashed avocado on sourdough – getting back to our hipster routes now!

Walk to the MRT and grab a metro to see Otter’s Place – a couple of disappointments here, first the metro is not contactless yet so we had to buy a token, and there were no otters at otters place 🙁

We did see a lovely bright blue kingfisher tho!

Apparently there be otters in these waters ????

Grab a Grab to Batu Caves, walk through the large collection of people, pigeons and monkeys to the brightly coloured 272 stairs up to the caves, next to the worlds tallest murugan statue

Can’t not have a pigeon pic here

Inside the massive caves are a few temples; we go down and then up the other side into a large chasm with another temple

Daisy is silly and books us a taxi back to our hotel before we’ve even finished fully looking at everything around here – a must re-visit spot when we’re back!

We head back to the hotel for a swim in the pool, but a bloody thunderstorm gets in the way, so we have a cheeky drink and sarny whilst it passes

Swim swim swim

Shower and out to the Petronas Towers for the Symphony lake light and water show

The shopping centre just beneath the towers is worth a look around: very swanky, has a lovely Xmas setup in the lobby and a restaurant that is doing a Christmas special …Beef and Yorkshire puddings ????

Don’t forget the mince pies ????

We’re full so walk back to help dinner go down and get a nice sleep
