Day 96 – Christmas Eve Down Under

Another late start, bloody jet lag!

A few coffees whilst watching Jurassic park and eating mince pies for brunch and we are off – first stop, the aquarium!

75aud each for 3 attractions seems the best combo ticket

Not too many annoying people, and some happy fish – with the highlights of the King penguins playing on the ice and the dugong (sea cow) called Pig. Only 1 of 2 dugongs in captivity in the world, was rescued in 1998, rehabilitated and released, but had to come home as he couldn’t survive on his own ????

Out we walk along the harbour and a thunderstorm hits so we hide out in a bar for a cheeky happy hour Peroni – only a bottle tho 🙁

Pop to see the town hall and then into Woolworths for supplies!

Back to cook dinner and share some Prosecco with Love Actually playing!

Spot the Basil tree for Xmas – we named it mr fawlty

Time for bed – make sure it’s in good time so we don’t interfere with Santa’s arrival!
