Day 64 – Onto the next continent!

Not so much of a rush to get to our flight today as it’s after midday (for once!)

We check out of Leonardo Heathrow Hotel leisurely and grab an Uber (as it’s cheaper than the hotel shuttle)

Arrive at terminal 2, level 5 to check in at the airport with success: we’re seated together ????

Go through security which is basically a breeze as we’re guided to FastTrack ????

Through, we hunt for some food before the long flight

Leon has the best prices so we chill with some noms

It’s feelin’ Christmasy: Turkey Massaman Curry and Festive Turkey Wrap with Pork Stuffing ????

Need to head to the departure gate – it takes about 30 mins just to walk there!

Up and down, up and down!

We’ve made it and they seem to be ahead of schedule

Little English to be seen – seems like it’s the rush to get home for the holidays

Board and get to our seats – seems like the plane has seen better days but so long as it gets us to India, we’re happy

Slight delay as someone appears to be drinking JD straight from the bottle and requires not one, but two vans of police to be escorted from the flight before we can leave ????

And we’re off: Daisy has someone basically sitting on her to her right, Dave has a grumpy father determined to put his seat back no matter how difficult it makes Dave’s legs to fit

Decent food on board – the Korma is actually spicy!

Several films and a few Simpsons episodes get us through till we land

We’re greeted to foggy land but we get off and through to passport control – finally a short queue as there’s limited foreigners

It’s a maze to get out and through to a taxi section as people hassle you left and right to get some business

We’re sleepy so settle for an Uber to the hotel – we need sleep stat! – Uber just shy of £4

A fish tank while we wait

30 mins drive and we’re dropped off right outside (albeit 5:30am)

Check in and sleepy time ????
