Wake up from more of a decent night’s kip – Apartments Mana are doing well!
We walk into town past the monastery – a “monk” doing a guided tour and the Mostar peace bell tower

Through old city area, we of course find the main attraction: Mostar Old Bridge
We go over the bridge (rebuilt in 2004 after being pretty devastated from the war/genocide 1991-95) and tackle the small mound of tourists here out of “peak season”

All the tat stalls lining the cobbled streets – Morrocan vibes
To Restaurant Kulluk with terrace overlooking the town and bridge for some nice, strong coffee and shared a traditional selection of Bosnian noms. Decent prices too – £9 for the lot!

We continue our stroll through the other side, passing many mosques, and a lot of construction, seeking out the best option for grabbing some cash
Along the way seeing quite a bit of left over devastation still from the war – abandoned buildings and Razvitak shopping centre ruins, buildings still riddled with bullet holes
Make it to the train station to purchase tickets ready for heading to our next destination tomorrow
Once sorted, we go to the local mall – it seems we’ve been hemoraging clothes/been knicked when they were publicly drying!
Hungry! Time to stop at a local “petit restaurant”, Megi, for a shared pizza

Back towards old town – much prettier and peaceful – via Park Zrinjevac to see the Bruce Lee statue (life-size but actually shorter than him!) which is here as a sign of symbol of solidarity in the ethnically-divided city
There’s a lower viewpoint which we found for some Instagram-worthy shots and you can even have a speedboat ride around for 10 mins!

Walk around the tat shops to find a place to try some local Bosnian wine – nice but small portions and not the tastiest to our likings
There’s also a crazy local who jumps from the Old Bridge into Neretva (the river below) 5 times a day for tips!
We chill seeing the colours of sunset around (as you can’t see it from Mostar itself) in Caffe Stari Grad
A platter for kings ???? We share a mixed meat plate for two at Tima – Irma which we can recommend!

Off for an early night to process noms, chill and charge the batteries!
