Day 7 – Trip to Trieste

Wake up in lovely hotel , has an actua shower and stuff – luxury I tell ya!

Pop to shop for bits, it sucks, find somewhere else, it sucks… maccys it is ????

Scrambled eggs and coffee (in a real cup)

To station, grab focaccia from the station! It ain’t cheap! and onto train (only a bit delayed but damn was it busy!)

Luxury Italian travel

To get or Trieste from Milan you have to swap in Venice – thankfully the trains were basically on time and the 14 min changeover was fine!

Nom focaccia and update blog – such bad internet’s on the trains, makes the ones in UK look like they actually work

To Trieste, to Airbnb – it’s lovely, a few rooms, sofa, bed, tv, kitchen

Out and about to explore the main square, canal, churches, waterfront – some good sights here but not more than a days worth

The canal to the side of the square

Hugo for happy hour (crisps – which then blew away thanks to the wind!)

To curry for noms at Krishna – it’s on a cool busy street a bit out of the way but it’s buzzing and lines with loads of dining out! And not £20 a curry this time – would recommend a visit V.le Venti Settembre is the street!

Venti Settembre – pedestrian street of food

The curry at Krishna we had the Chicken Tikka Massla -like a blend of butter chicken, chicken balti and the sweetness of ctm- good

Jalfrezi – not very tomatoey, occasional kick of spice – good peppers and meat

Kashmiri nan – weird anniseed flavour over powers curry

Love the balti dishes and drink chalices

  1. More delicious food – and canal/boat shot relives happy memories of Slovenia skiing trip in 2008
